Keeping Up With The Changing Current
P. F. Chang’s China Bistro created Pei Wei restaurant chain in 2000 to compete in the fast-growing, cutthroat industry of casual restaurant while P.F. Chang remained as a full – service restaurant. The very first Pei Wei location was opened in Scottsdale and by 2010, Pei Wei has more than 160 locations in Texas, Florida, Arizona and most of it in California. The restaurant also established a growing presence in the Midwest and the Northeast.
Pei Wei Asian Diner offers different menu items and a whole lot different dining ambiance than its P.F. Chang’s. The restaurant featured a counter service where guests place their order directly from a cashier, and their food is brought to their table. Pei Wei also has its own coffee bar making it one of the most frequented fast casual Asian restaurant in the region. And to keep up with the trend of fast casual dining, Pei Wei also has its exclusive take away booth for orders made to go.

Alshaya Co., the same company that opened the first Pei Wei location in Dubai, U.A.E. in April 2013. Before the end of 2014, a second Pei Wei restaurant was opened in Kuwait with other two locations in Dubai. By the end of 2014, Pei Wei has a total five locations in the Middle East.
