AMBIANCE
At Junkyard you get to eat some of the tastiest food served on BBQ grills or at a street side stand while you hang out with your friends and family. The ambiance is quite chic and simple whereby a chalkboard states the menu. The aesthetics of the cafeteria resemble that of an upscale café while the prices are light on the pocket. You give your order at the main counter and receive a pager. Once your order is complete, you will be notified on the pager to receive your order. The beautiful décor at Junkyard never fails to amaze the customers. It is indeed a restaurant which besides taking care of your hungry tummy, also takes care of mother-nature with all of the recyclable décor. An understated urban theme of cement, wood, and bricks with dim lighting matches the simple theme of the food.
FOOD
They have a simple yet trendy designed menu that features all the yummy selections. Their famous Junky Burger comes loaded with 2 juicy and fresh patties, iceberg lettuce, melted cheddar cheese, grilled onions and in-house made yard sauce. The most preferred Buffalo Chicken Burger consists of a piece of breaded crispy, juicy and tender chicken patty, mayo, iceberg lettuce and onions caramelized with their in-house made buffalo sauce. A single serving of the chili cheese fries with cheese, mustard and jalapenos are claimed to be filling enough for two hungry people. Their burger buns are soft and baked fresh every day in their home kitchen.
For weight watchers, there is a wide variety of salad to choose from. The most famous are the Rocca with eggplant and beet root salad. The soft ribs are marinated over-night and cooked slowly, such that the whole piece is basted with the sweet glaze of the sauces.
The delicious homemade sauces which are served with their burgers are of such a quality that it would be no bragging to call it a gourmet burger. With all meals, they also serve a complimentary nacho basket with three different kinds of sauces.
